A plan to build four penthouses on top of the Grade II listed Oslo Court in Prince Albert Road, that survived the Blitz, has been turned down by Westminster City Council. The controversial proposal by Airspace Advisory Ltd was said to also address outstanding issues over fire safety and prepare the 80-year-old building for the future as well as providing luxury homes, but had split opinion between residents and conservation groups before being rejected by the planners. Oslo Court was designed by Robert Atkinson in the modern “International Style” and has a well-known restaurant on the ground floor.
