Two sought after roads in St John’s Wood have made it into Halifax’s top 20 of the UK’s most expensive street list. Avenue Road where average prices recorded between 2018 and 2023 are said to be £12,270,556 and Eyre Road with average prices of £10,960,700 feature at number 14 and 18. With the average UK house price now £283,615, the costliest properties in the country are almost 72 times more expensive than a typical home.

Purchasing a property on one of Britain’s most expensive streets comes with a matching price tag and it’s no surprise that house prices in London continue to dominate the list, with the top ten priciest streets to buy a home all in the capital.

Grosvenor Square in the borough of Westminster topped the list with an average price of £20.35m.
